The 63200E series has three voltage ranges of 150V, 600V, and 1200V, with a power range from 2kW to 24kW. The maximum current of a single unit can reach 2000A; Through parallel connection, the maximum power can reach up to 240kW. High power electronic loads can mainly be used for testing products such as DC charging piles for vehicles, discharging of vehicle batteries, on-board chargers, power electronic components, and some power electronic components.

The exclusive ability of high power, parallel function, and synchronous dynamics is suitable for testing high-power test objects such as automotive batteries and fuel cells.

The application of master/slave control allows 63200E series electronic loads with the same voltage specifications to be used in parallel and achieve synchronous dynamic functionality to meet the needs of power testing. Furthermore, it also provides 255 sets of storage functions and can call the user's stored settings at any time. In automated testing, the storage and calling functions shorten the testing time.

In terms of measurement, each model of the 63200E series has real-time and accurate voltage and current functions; In addition, short-circuit testing is one of the necessary testing items for power testing. The short-circuit simulation function provided by the 63200E series can effectively solve the application needs of power testing and automation testing.

Through the VFD display and knobs on the front panel, the 63200E series electronic load can be easily operated and set, and remote wired or wireless control can be achieved through communication interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, and GPIB.

Built in PWM fan speed control can effectively reduce the noise caused by fan rotation. The 63200E series has protection functions for overcurrent, overpower, and overtemperature, as well as an alarm mechanism for overvoltage and reverse polarity, which can greatly improve product reliability. Basic load application

The 63200E series has constant voltage, constant current, constant resistance, constant power, and constant impedance modes, which can meet a wide range of testing needs. For example, the constant current and constant resistance modes can confirm whether the output voltage of the test object of the voltage source remains stable under different load conditions. For battery chargers or charging stations, the constant voltage mode can change the output voltage of the charger or charging station to ensure the correctness of the charging current at the set output voltage. When the test object is a battery, the electronic load can be transformed into simulating the behavior of electronic device loading. Many battery discharge applications, power consumption, and other situations can be analyzed by simulating the loading behavior of the electronic load. The fixed power mode is one of the best choices for simulating the loading behavior of electronic devices.

Mode

Dynamic load

To meet the performance requirements of power components for transient signals and dynamic responses, the 63200E series provides high-speed, programmable dynamic loads, etc. The following figure shows the programmable parameters: setting the current light/heavy load level T1&T2、 Climbing rate/descent rate and execution frequency. In the 63200E series, when the load current continuously changes, the internal monitoring mechanism and circuit can minimize the distortion of the current waveform, and the dynamic variation can reach up to 5kHz.

Users can set the repetition frequency of light/heavy loads in dynamic load mode, ranging from 1 to 65535. When the repetition frequency is set to once, the load current will be pulled by a pulse current, which is very suitable for testing the instantaneous high current tolerance of fuses, switching elements, coaxial cables, relays, and batteries.

Constant Impedance Mode (CZ MODE)

There will be many capacitors on the motherboard. In order to avoid the surge current caused by the instantaneous charging of the capacitors on the motherboard when the server power supply is turned on, which may trigger the overcurrent protection mechanism of the power supply and prevent smooth startup, the power supply needs to undergo capacitive load startup testing. Therefore, the 63200E series provides a fixed impedance load mode for this testing requirement.

The unique fixed impedance load mode is different from the fixed current and fixed power load modes. The fixed impedance mode simulates the actual inductance, impedance, capacitance, and load to load, so the load current can approach the real situation more accurately. This waveform shows the voltage and current waveforms of a simulated switched power supply during capacitive load startup testing.

Programmable load timing function

The 63200E series has 255 sets of programmable load timing built-in, allowing users to simulate various real load conditions. Single sequence load and all sequence loads can be repeatedly loaded, with a minimum time of 100 milliseconds (ms) for each sequence and a resolution of 100 milliseconds. The following examples illustrate common programming sequence applications.

Battery discharge and other applications (laptops, electric vehicles, and electric locomotives), simulating various dynamic load current waveforms, that is, providing dynamic current simulation with two or more current levels or one-time load simulation (for the test object output by a single channel)

  2. Hybrid load modulation of power supply (for testing objects with multi-channel output)

  3. Load simulation of fuel cell lifecycle testing

Customize shortcut key design

The 63200E series provides four sets of commonly used user-defined shortcut keys, allowing users to quickly enter the desired operating mode. To change the definition of shortcut keys, simply press and hold the shortcut keys for 2 seconds.

Three gears and precise measurement

The 63200E series has precise measurement accuracy, with three load operation and measurement levels of high, medium, and low. It is equipped with a high-precision A/D converter, and the measurement specifications for voltage, current, and power can reach precision of 0.02%+0.02% FS for voltage, 0.1%+0.1% FS for current, and 0.1%+0.1% FS for power, respectively. High precision measurement is an indispensable function for measuring the efficiency and other important parameters of the measured object.

Master/Slave Parallel Control

The 63200E series has an intelligent master/slave control mode. When the load power demand increases, all models of the same voltage specification can achieve the required current and power through parallel connection (master/slave control). When set to master/slave control mode, all electronic loads set to master/slave control form a single load, and users only need to program the load current on the master load. The master load will automatically calculate and distribute the current to other slave loads, greatly simplifying the user's operation steps. The entire series of models can be integrated into a 19 "wide standard rack (as shown in the right figure) to save space. The 63200E also comes with a USB interface (standard), GPIB optional interface, and Ethernet optional interface, allowing users to perform remote control and other automatic testing applications through these interfaces.

Battery discharge test

63200E is specially designed for battery discharge testing, providing users with three discharge modes: constant current, constant resistance, and constant power mode for steady-state discharge. By setting the cut-off voltage and stop time (1 second~100000 seconds), the electronic load can stop pulling correctly, ensuring that the battery will not be damaged due to excessive discharge. In addition, in terms of measurement, it can measure the discharge capacity (WH, AH) and total discharge time of the battery. For example, when the Load ON button is pressed to start pulling, the internal timer of the 63200E series will start counting until the battery voltage drops to the set cut-off voltage or the Load OFF button is pressed to stop pulling, and the timer will stop counting. The battery discharge testing function can also be applied to the discharge time testing of supercapacitors and other similar applications.

DC charging station and vehicle charger testing

DC charging stations are indispensable equipment in the electric vehicle market. The 63200E series high-power DC electronic loads have a complete range of power levels, from 2kW to 24kW, with an operating voltage of up to 1200V. For functional testing of DC charging stations, the 63200E can provide sufficient modes and functions to assist research and development units in functional testing, quality assurance units in verification testing, and can be integrated into the 8000 system to help production lines produce quickly.

The testing part of the car charger, 63200E, can also be used to simulate batteries. When the car charger starts charging the battery in constant current (CC) mode, 63200E can be set to constant voltage (CV) mode for loading. Once the car charger enters constant voltage (CV) mode for float charging, 63200E needs to be changed to constant current (CC) mode for loading.
